Pours dark brown with a thin tan head.

Sour and slightly tarty aroma. Wood and soil. Smell like an old cellar.

Very weak flavor. Malts, citrus, bread and hints of berries.

A let down!

Doppel Strauss 330ml, 8% - Belgium

Pours deep brown with a high, tan head.

Slightly roasted malts, hops, caramel and nuts in the aroma.

The flavor beats the crap out of the aroma. Roasted malts, a bit closer to burned. Caramel, hops, nuts and small hints of dark fruits.

Lovely beer!

Roste Jeanne 330ml, 7% - Belgium

Pours murky red with a short head.

Dark fruits, caramel and candi sugar in the aroma.

Toffee, citrus, malts and hops in the flavor.

Struise Rosse 330ml, 6% - Belgium

Pours deep copper with a short head.

Weak aroma of sour cherries. Caramel, berries and malts.

Malty with citrus. Pale sweet flavor.

Struise Kloeke Blonde 330ml, 6% - Belgium

Pours blurry orange with a huge frothy white head.

Hops, malts and spices in the aroma.

Yeast, flowers, hops and spices in the flavor.

St. Amatus 12 330ml, 10.5% - Belgium

Pours very deep, dark brown with a two finger high tan head.

Malts, bread, nuts, caramel and hints of oak in the aroma.

Lovely flavor. Heavy on malts, raisins, caramel, chocolate, nuts and hints of coffee. Some booze towards the end.

I need to buy a few bottles to put in my cellar.

Cuvee Delphine 330ml, 13% - Belgium

Pours dark as a night with a brown head.

Roasted malts, chocolate, licorice, vanilla and oak in the aroma.

Lot's of tar and hints of smoke. Burned malts, dark chocolate, tobacco, toffee, wood and vanilla in the flavor.

Medium to full bodied. Glad I finally tried this!

Pannepot Reserva 2006 330ml, 10% - Belgium

Pours deep brown with a one finger tan head.

Malts, oak, dark fruits and hints of vanilla in the aroma.

Complex flavor. Malty with lot's of dark fruits, caramel, nuts, wood and spices.

Awesomeness! I of course prefer the 2005 Grand Reserva more. :)

Black Damnation IV - Coffee Club 330ml, 13% - Belgium

Pours motor oil black with a brownish head.

Roasted malts and lot's of coffee in the aroma. Also hints of soil.

Roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and brown sugar in the flavor.

Black Damnation III - Black Mes 330ml, 13% - Belgium

Pours pitch black with a "coca-cola" colored head.

Roasted malts, coffee, wood and berries in the aroma.

Roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and light hints of tar in the flavor. A bit boozy.

Black Damnation II - Mocha Bomb 330ml, 13% - Belgium

Some bottles have the label from the regular BD with II written on them. Got this bottle from Glenn over at Alvinne.

Pours black with a coffee colored, compact head.

Burned malts, coffee beans and soil in the aroma. It's sort of dry and woody.

Roasted (almost burned) malts, soil, dark chocolate, vanilla, mocha, lot's of sweet and syrupy tones. Hints of bourbon towards the end.

You can hardly feel the high ABV of 13%..!

Struise Mikkeller Elliot Brew 330ml, 9% - Denmark

Poured deep, grummy brown. The color has a drastic change once the settlement enters the glass. The foam is air full and rocky.

Hops, pines, grass, malts and grapefruit in the aroma.

Lot's of caramel, hops, grapefruit, grass and pines in the flavor.

Lovely DIPA!

Schommelpeird 330ml, 12% - Belgium

Pours blurry amber with a two finger creamy head.

Malty and bready notes up front, nutty aroma.

Sweet and malty flavor. Bready with caramel and light spices.

Very gentle, the high abv is hardly noticeable.

Tsjeeses Reserva 750ml, 10% - Belgium

Pours hazy orange with no head.

Wood, citrus, plums, malts, hops and yeast in the aroma.

Sour taste. Woody notes with visible hints of fruits. Spicy with yeast, apples and hints of caramel.

Yummy!

Den Grooten Tocht 330ml, 6% - Belgium

Poured clear amber with pretty much no head.

Fruity aroma together with yeast, malts and citric notes.

The flavor consists of light spices. I get coriander and pepper. Yeast and malts.

Too light for my liking.

Pipedream 330ml, 7.8% - Belgium

Poured dark orange with a bubbly, air full head.

Yeast, malts and mango in the aroma.

Fruity flavor which is quite bitter at the same time. Full of hops and malts. Rather spicy.

Struise Alvinne Keralensis 330ml, 6% - Belgium

Poured a very nice red color with a thin pinkish head.

Tons of cherries with lambic notes and wood. Pretty sour aroma.

Lovely flavor. Tart cherries, sour notes together with vitamin C.

Struise Witte 330ml, 5% - Belgium

Poured cloudy orange with a very thin head.

Lot's of yeast and spices in the aroma. Small citric hints.

Bitter flavor. Mostly ginger and yeast. Dried orange peels and bready notes.

Pannepøt - Old Monk's Ale 2007 330ml, 10% - Belgium

Apparently made for the Danish market.

Poured hazy brown with a small tan head. Some settlement is noticeable on the bottom of the glass.

Pretty much the same aroma as the previous Pannepot.. It's the same beer, so..

I wish I could drink this kind of beer everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The amazing Belgian yeast, together with caramel, coffee, sweet creamy vanilla and cocoa beans.

Amazing, that's what it is!

Pannepeut 2007 330ml, 10% - Belgium

This label was made for the American label.

Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head.

Sweet and fruity aroma. Yeast, vanilla, cherries, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Wow! Very complex taste. It's rich and full of caramel. Sweet maltyness together with coffee and cocoa beans. Vanilla, dark fruits, brown sugar and a light boozyness towards the end.

Amazing Quad. Easy to drink, thanks to the well balanced carbonation.
